Our Story
Richard Conti and Bradford Akerman share a bond forged through music, mentorship, and a deep love for performing. Together, they blend vocals, guitar, and accordion, weaving timeless classics with modern melodies reimagined in a vintage style. Their performances are more than a concert—they are a living celebration of friendship, artistry, and the power of music to connect generations.
Richard spent over forty years as a beloved music teacher, mentoring students who would go on to careers from Broadway to Vienna. Among them was Bradford, a young singer and guitarist whose life was forever changed in Richard’s classroom. Their teacher-student bond grew into a lifelong friendship, and today, a musical partnership. Now performing nationally together as The Accidental Gentlemen, they bring warmth, nostalgia, and joy to every stage—offering audiences not just a show, but a story of friendship, artistry, and a life well-lived through music.
